I met Róbert Bors, the leader of GeoLayer, at a conference on renewable energy, and we started talking about the opportunities, issues and challenges in this field. What exactly does this solution entail?
This automated process is a complex solution, that is a great help in finding issues emerging in regards of the solar panels. Our inverter data analysis shows all capacity loss of the examined solar energy farms. We analyse these big datasets through an automated process using a Starlink connection and make a report about the faulty panels in the farm. We can automatically discover 99% of critical issues and determine problems causing smaller performance loss with 85% punctuality. The algorithm uses artificial intelligence, mathematical calculations and multimodal machine vision to assure the exact identification of faulty panels. We mark these panels with our GPS based mapping solution, so that they can be easily localised for repair or change.
